About Stone Ridge

Stoneridge is a popular gated community in the central area of Mission Viejo, California that offers the best in outdoor entertaining. Residents enjoy beautiful sunsets, and spacious backyards.

The Stoneridge Gallery subdivision was built by Standard Pacific Homes and is made up of 121 estates. The smallest plan offers 2,344 square feet of living space and three bedrooms while the largest features 2,669 square feet. All homes here have three-car garages.

This community is served by the Capistrano Unified School District which provides highly ranked Philip J. Reilly Elementary School, Newhart Middle School, and Capistrano Valley High School. Some families prefer private schools like Sunflower Montessori, Carden Academy, Al Ridah Academy, and Cornerstone Community School. There are several colleges in this region including Saddleback College which calls this city home and the University of California, Irvine.

Stoneridge is near O’Neill Regional Park and Jeronimo Open Space. And residents have access to many outdoor activities at Lake Mission Viejo. This man-made lake offers swimming, boating, sailing, and fishing. It is regularly stocked with catfish, bass, sunfish, and trout. Movie screenings, fireworks, and concerts are held throughout the summer. There are also three golf courses in the city that have special event facilities.

The Shops at Mission Viejo and Kaleidoscope Courtyards offer hundreds of shops, restaurants, and services. And Mission Hospital is in the same vicinity.

Mission Viejo is one of the largest master-planned communities in the nation and as of 2014 had over 96,000 residents. Long before it was incorporated, this land was bought by John Forster who was also known as Don Juan. Today it is known for its clean air, low crime, tree-lined streets, and upscale neighborhoods. Many holiday events are held throughout the year as well as running competitions.
